One-time setup

Connect this to your backend

This file needs a free Firebase project to sync messages between devices — nobody who uses the app needs an account, but you need to set the backend up once.

  1. Go to console.firebase.google.com → Add project → name it anything → skip Analytics → Create.
  2. Click the </> web icon → register an app → copy the firebaseConfig object it shows you.
  3. Left sidebar → Build → Realtime Database → Create Database → start in test mode.
  4. Open the Rules tab in Realtime Database, paste this in, and click Publish:

  1. Open this HTML file in a text editor, find FIREBASE_CONFIG near the top, and paste in your values.
  2. Save, then host the file somewhere with a URL — drag it into app.netlify.com/drop for the fastest free option.

Once configured, reload this page and it'll go straight to the app.
